Owners Marina and her family love to bake! Her father, Mr. Jorge, whom she affectionately calls “Pai” had a bakery in Milford that drew loyal customers from far and wide. And, Marina, growing up around wonderful baked goods, dreamed for years of owning her own bakery and neighborhood café. In fact, when she and her mom used to visit and enjoy the Bakery on the Common Marina thought, “This is just the kind of atmosphere that I’d love for my own bakery.” When the original owners decided to retire, Marina, quite literally, had her dream come true!
Now, she and her European Pastry Chef Charbel, all closely monitored by her son Chris “The Cookie Monster,” have the opportunity to share with you their delicious and delectable baked goods. Pai’s home-grown vegetables go into savory homemade soups that perfectly complement Elton's generous sandwiches, specialty salads and more.
At Bakery on the Common, you can enjoy a hot latte and your favorite breakfast or lunch seven days a week. And we’ll be happy to cater your next family event or office get-together with our sandwiches, special salads, and exquisite desserts.
